Sony Online Outlet Store Warranty
All products purchased from Sony Online Outlet Store are covered with a one-year Sony manufacturer's warranty.
The One-Year Warranty covers:
- Free parts and labour during the entire period of the warranty term specified.
- Professional service provided by "Sony Service Centre" or a "Sony Authorised Service Centre".
- Genuine spare parts, supplied by Sony, used in repairs.
The Sony Online Outlet Store's One-Year Warranty applies to all products sold from the Store and voids any other Sony warranty for that product.

Sony agrees, subject to the terms and conditions specified below, to repair or replace at Sony's cost the product purchased by you, when the product does not perform in accordance with its specifications, during the Sony Online Outlet Store's One-Year Warranty period.

The Sony Online Outlet Store One-Year Warranty applies to the product from the date of purchase. |
| 1.2 |
The Sony Online Outlet Store One-Year Warranty only operates if proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale, invoice or purchase receipt is presented at the time of request for service. |
| 1.3 |
To the extent permitted by law, Sony's maximum liability under the Sony Online Outlet Store One-Year Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product or, at Sony's option, the cost of replacing the product. Sony reserves the right to replace the product with the same or equivalent product rather than repair it. Where a replacement is provided, the original product becomes the property of Sony. |

Certain legislation in New Zealand may imply warranties or conditions or impose obligations on Sony which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified, or only to a limited extent. If such statutory provisions apply, to the extent to which Sony is able to do so, Sony limits its liability under any term, condition or warranty implied by law to: (1) in the case of goods, and at Sony's option, the replacement of the goods or supply of equivalent goods, the repair of the goods, or the payment of the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods; and (2) in the case of services, and at Sony's option, to resupplying the services or paying the cost of having the services resupplied. |

The Sony Online Outlet Store One-Year Warranty does not apply unless the product was purchased in New Zealand from the Sony Online Outlet store. |

The product will be at the owner's risk whilst in transit to and from the Sony Authorised Service Centre unless carried out by Sony or a Sony authorised representative. |
| 1.7 |
Sony and its Authorised Service Centres may charge labour, parts, transportation and handling costs for work done when the product is found to be in good working order. |
| 1.8 |
General exclusions and limitations
The Sony Online Outlet Store One-Year Warranty will not apply:

If the product has not been installed, operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's installation and operation instructions provided with the product. |
| 1.8.2 |
If the product has been used in a manner other than for which it was originally designed. |
| 1.8.3 |
If there is damage, malfunction or failure resulting from alterations, accident, misuse, abuse fire, liquid spillage, mis-adjustment of customer controls, use on an incorrect voltage, power surges and dips, thunderstorm activity, acts of God, voltage supply problems, tampering or unauthorised repairs by any persons, use of defective or incompatible accessories, the operation of a computer virus of any kind, exposure to abnormally corrosive conditions or entry by any insect, vermin or foreign object in the product. |

If there is a failure, to the extent that the failure is not a failure of the product to perform in accordance with its specifications. |
| 1.8.5 |
To wear and tear including to magnetic heads, audio and video and laser pickups if the product is used in commercial, business, industrial, educational or rental applications. |

If the product has been tampered with or repaired by anyone other than a Sony Authorised Service Centre. |
| 1.8.7 |
To the servicing of a product whilst is outside New Zealand. |
| 1.8.8 |
To transportation costs of the product or any parts thereof to and from the owner in connection with repairs or removal and re-installation, unless otherwise specified in these warranty conditions. |

BRAVIA TV and home cinema projector products
Subject to the terms and conditions set out below, Sony agrees to repair or replace at Sony's cost the Sony product, and any Sony accessory supplied with it, purchased by you in New Zealand from the Sony Online Outlet Store and identified below (Product) when the Product does not perform in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications during the Sony Online Outlet Store One-Year Warranty.

The Sony Online Outlet Store One-Year Warranty applies to the product from the date of purchase. |
| 2.2 |
Proof of purchase (i.e. bill of sale, invoice or purchase receipt) must be presented when requesting service under the Sony Online Outlet Store One-Year Warranty . |
| 2.3 |
Sony reserves the right to replace the Product or relevant part with the same or equivalent Product or part, rather than repair it. Where a replacement is provided the Product or part replaced becomes the property of Sony. Sony may replace parts with refurbished parts. Replacement of the Product or a part does not extend or restart the Warranty period. |
| 2.4 |
The Product will be at the owner's risk whilst in transit to and from a Sony Authorised Service Centre, unless transported by Sony or its Authorised representatives. |
| 2.5 |
Sony and its Authorised Service Centres may seek reimbursement of any costs incurred by them when the Product is found to be in good working order. |
| 2.6 |
Included in the Sony Online Outlet Store One-Year Warranty for New Zealand is home service or on-site pickup for all products listed above, within 25 kilometres of the nearest Sony Authorised Service Centre. |
| 2.7 |
General exclusions and limitations
To the full extent permitted by law, the Sony Online Outlet Store One-Year Warranty will no apply: |

If the Product has not been installed, operated, maintained or used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions or specifications provided with the Product. |
| 2.7.2 |
If the factory-applied serial number has been altered or removed from the Product.

| 2.7.3 |
If there is damage, malfunction or failure resulting from alterations, accident, misuse, abuse, fire, liquid spillage, mis-adjustment of customer controls, use on an incorrect voltage, power surges and dips, thunderstorm activity, acts of God, voltage supply problems, tampering or unauthorised repairs by any persons, use of defective or incompatible accessories, the operation of a computer virus of any kind, exposure to abnormally corrosive conditions or entry by any insect, vermin or foreign object in the Product. |
| 2.7.4 |
If there is damage arising during transportation, installation or while moving the Product, or to any transportation costs of the Product or any parts thereof to and from the owner, unless otherwise specified in these warranty conditions. |
| 2.7.5 |
If there is a failure, to the extent that the failure is not a failure of the product to perform in accordance with its specifications. |
| 2.7.6 |
To the replacement or repair of any (1) consumables (including batteries, cables and lamps), or (2) lost parts or accessories. |
| 2.7.7 |
To the service of any product whilst it is outside New Zealand. |
| 2.8 |
To the full extent permitted by law but subject always to section 2.9: |
| 2.8.1 |
Sony will not be liable for any loss, damage or alterations to (1) third party hardware or software; or (2) programs, data or information stored on any media or any part of the Product, no matter how occurring; or for any loss or damage arising from loss of use, loss of profits or revenue, or for any resulting indirect or consequential loss or damage. |
| 2.8.2 |
Sony's aggregate liability in respect of all claims under the Sony Online Outlet Store One-Year Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Product or, at Sony's option, the cost of replacing the Product. |
| 2.8.3 |
Sony excludes all other warranties, conditions, terms, representations and undertakings, whether express or implied. |
| 2.9 |

To any failure, to the extent that the failure is not a failure of the Product to perform in accordance with its specifications. |

To service of any product whilst it is outside New Zealand. |
